Where the Magic Happens

This is our learning/play room. This room has been set up to let the children discover and explore independently. We homeschool eclectically using a mix of curricula. For the most part I follow my children's lead and help them unearth their own joys and passions. I believe that an open ended environment and play space is paramount to a good education. The color of this room seems to energizes even the most reluctant homeschooler; it is the recipe for an instant smile!

What a great room! It looks so cozy. We're moving later this year and I've been pondering the best color for the homeschool room when that happens - I wouldn't have thought of a darker color but I love it!

I am in awe (and envy) of your beautiful school room! Ours seems so small and cluttered by comparison. It makes me wish I could just turn the whole play room into a school room!

Kash this room get's lots of sunlight throughout the day which helps to "lighten" the color, I love it too! I always went for neutral colors in the past but decided to throw caution to the wind. Our new home is filled with color and it is amazing how it effects your mood....the orange is truly energizing in the AM!

I'm here through the Hive:) Your room is wonderful! The color is beautiful. And how very SMART of you to not CUT out the body shape on your wall! Or perhaps how very dumb of me?? I cut ours out, struggled to get all the limbs to stick securely to the wall, then was sooooo very upset when two certain little toddler boys ripped them off and dismembered the bodies:( It's been quite some time now and I haven't been inspired to try it again until now. I'm totally NOT cutting out the bodies this time... why didn't I think of that?!

Oh I LOVE the orange! My husband would probably have a heart attack if I said I wanted an orange room but really it's just so happy!
