Soccer mom salute......

So I knew if would happen one day...(Shhh) I'm a minivan driving soccer mom. Gone are the days of raging against capitalism and working for global peace...now I'm wrangling shin guards and arranging playdates...Ahhhh run away in terror if you can:) So for now I'll change the world with my small actions, living green and raising socially responsible global citizens. Let my small ripples create waves elsewhere. I hear there is a great need for conflict resolution on the war fields of youth soccer:) Peace....

I hear you! Just switch soccer with ballet and that's me. I still get a kick out of raging against capitalism from time to time. I just have to wait until the kids are in bed and I've cornered a willing(?) audience...which is pretty much just my hubby these days, lol.

I think this is my first visit to your blog. Sounds like we have a lot in common! My 3 favorite forums are also WTM, TBW, and MDC. :) I was a babywearing, ap-parent, book-lover... I'm not a soccer mom yet, maybe next year!

Looking forward to reading more. I'll be interested in SOTW and REAL Science Odyssey, we'll be using those very soon.

(Oh, can you allow Name/URL so I can post comments to your blog easily? I host my own blog...)

Oh, your post made me smile. Just a few days ago, I was reminiscing about my days as a political activist. Now, I'm also driving a mini-van (no soccer though - we do aikido). I just have to remember that all the simple daily choices I make are as important as the rallies and canvassing I did in my twenties. :-) Kelly

I could have written your post too - just substitute baseball gloves for shin guards. ;)
